Rui Song joined North Carolina State University in Fall 2012 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics. Her research goal is to adapt statistical advances to make optimal treatment decisions for an individual patient based on all information available for that patient. To accomplish this goal, she will develop efficient and powerful statistical approaches to use personalized, multi-stage information of patients in modeling, estimation, inference, selection important prognostic factors and evaluating treatment responses for personalized treatment discoveries.
Prior to joining NCSU, Song was an Assistant Professor of Statistics at Colorado State University. She worked as Principle Investigator (PI) for a NSF funded project. She has mentored students and taught a variety of statistical courses at the both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
